Booked via Kayak. Date was confirmed but found out the Hertz Brookfield location was closed on July 4. We had to interrupt our vacation and travel to come back to the Hertz Brookfield office. 45 minutes on the phone to try to rectify the problem. I rented the vehicle for a trip out of state. When I rented it, I called in to ask about the cancellation policy because there was a potential that the trip might not happen. I was told that as long as I canceled 24 hours prior to picking up the vehicle, there weren't any charges. When I had to cancel the rental, I was told that wasn't correct and they had to bill me $50. Poor management of inventory! Went to pick up car at scheduled pick up time and was informed they did not have a car for me and I was next on the waitlist. I now had to scramble to find another vehicle elsewhere.Opinión del 28 jul. 2021

Desventajas:They almost cancelled our reservation for showing up late. The car had a missing hub cap or it was a donut/spare tire. This is the second bad experience with Hertz. It was the same location so perhaps that's the problem.Opinión del 2 jun. 2021

Ventajas:Drop off was on day office closed and was easy. Just write down mileage, date and time returned. .Desventajas:Office closed at 5pm and pick up was scheduled for 5pm. When I got there a little late due to lack of signage for pick up and traffic, they were closed and it cost me a day of vacation. No number to call or anything. When I called Hertz, it went to National line and they wouldn’t help me because I booked through Kayak. When I went the next morning to pick it up, I mentioned it to the counter person and she was rude about it and not concerned.Opinión del 31 may. 2021

Ventajas:It was a convenient location for us.Desventajas:Our car was not available so they “upgraded” us but it wasn’t really what we needed in terms of luggage space. The car was clearly not cleaned before we got it, which besides being gross is also a Covid concern. Plus the gas tank was only 3/4 full. We were not given any sort of compensation for the gas shortage, just a shrug and a comment to put it in our survey.Opinión del 7 oct. 2020

Ventajas:I got a sweet little Nissan Rogue - exactly what I wanted. It was a brilliant little car for my trip. It was perfect. The people at the little rental center were very nice - and efficient.
